☆ P L A N T ☆ I N T E L L I G E N C E ☆  Did you ever wonder how herbs seemingly magically have the ability to heal human illness (if you have any doubts about that, just know that all pharmaceuticals are synthesized from plants)? .
Plants are actually highly intelligent and not only have they evolved over the last 500+ million years to make their own food from sunlight, water, and CO2 but they also developed an innate self healing ability. These beings can produce chemicals that allow them to thrive in their environment and also protect themselves from the same viruses, bacteria, and fungus that can harm us. .
When we injest a plant, these compounds have similar effects on pathogens in our bodies. And I dont think it's an accident on their part that plants are so fundamental to our species because the plants are benefitting from this energy exchange as well. Plants are actually using us to spread their seed around the globe! Such beautiful reciprocity. We still have so much to learn from these ancient ancestors.
I'm seriously praying that when the patriarchy falls, we can live more in tune with the rhythms of nature 🙏🙏🙏
.
What is your body telling you today in this frigid cold? Listening can be as easy as recognizing that we feel more depressed and sluggish in the winter. Just a hundred years ago, our world was so much more limited by the lack of sunlight during this time. But today we keep so busy, pushing ourselves to be constantly productive and hardly letting the darkness or cold stop us from doing anything to the point of total exhaustion. .

SAD is our body's way of telling us to slow the fuck down. Because our bodies are mad intelligent and connected with nature and they're having a hard time keeping up with the busy lives we have created, fueled by an instant flick of a switch, addiction to screens and all around FOMO. .

For almost all of human history, our lives changed with the seasons. In the winter we spent more time at home, cooking over the fire and curled up with a book by candlelight.  Winter's forced slow-down for us mirrors all of nature. The trees release their leaves and bring their life force down into the roots to rest so that in the spring they can bring renewed the energy back up to create new leaves and reproduce. Just like the trees, resting during this time allows us to build a reserve that will harness the energy needed to activate our intentions once spring rolls around.  So embrace the stillness of your surroundings, make peace with your lower energy, allow your body to recuperate and give thanks for how it has carried you through the last year. .

Before taking herbs or supplements or medications, the first step is to ask yourself, "what information is my symptom giving me?" Often times you will learn how you are living out of alignment with your highest good. .

But if you have no choice but to keep going, St. John's Wort is literally sunshine in a bottle 🌞🌞🌞 . An adaptogen like Siberian Ginseng can provide an extra boost too. Using plenty of rosemary in your cooking will warm you up and increase circulation, which may just lift the fog. And always always take lots of baths. #wintervibes
For this super full blood moon eclipse, keep your meals simple and nourishing. This coconut cauliflower carrot pumpkin soup with basmati rice helps ground you amidst the uprooting lunar energy. The moon is moving us forward for major upgrades but she may do so in a tough love kind of way which leaves us emotionally and physically drained.
Full of root veggies, starch, and healthy fats this soup us super grounding and also easy to digest, allowing your energy to be diverted to the major change vibes. I topped it off with some raw black sesame seeds to nourish kidney yin and brocolli sprouts because they are good for everything always. #sundaydinner
Have a trippy weekend, foxes 🤩
