NEXT DREAM CATCHER WORKSHOP: JUNE 28th, 2-4 PM at Transmitter Park in Greenpoint. Come join us for dreamweaving by the water. Purchase your ticket here! For info & deets email firstname.lastname@example.org. xx
Sacred Smudge Sticks: For centuries smudging has been one of the most common and powerful aids in blessing and cleansing the mind, body, spirit, and even purging unwanted energies. In this workshop you will learn all about the sacred plants used in smudging, how to bind your own smudge stick, and perform a smudge ritual.
Dream Weaving: Native American culture believes the night air is filled with dreams, both good and bad. When hung near your bed, swinging freely, the dream catcher absorbs those dreams as they flow by. The positive dreams slip through the hole in the center of the dream catcher, and glide down the feathers to the person below, while the negative dreams get caught up in the web, and expire when the first rays of the sun strike. This class will teach you about sacred traditions and guide your creation of your very own dream catcher.
Workshops are led by Ashley Glynn, an artist and creative spirit. Ashley is inspired by her deep connection to the natural world, Native American heritage, and mysticism. She is passionate about teaching, creating, the healing of the natural world, magic, music, ancient histories, and love, and loves to share her craft.
*all supplies are included, but feel free to bring any personal items you would like to add to activate the energies in your dream catcher: special crystals, feathers, beads, etc.
